American Internet Services' Lightwave San Diego collocation facility is located on 9305 Lightwave Avenue, situated in the San Diego Spectrum area of Claremont Mesa.

The site offers a mix of cabinet, cage and data suites, as well as roof rights for microwave links and other antennae systems. The San Diego collocation facility is fed from SDG&E with 600 amps at 12,000 Volts which is equal to 13 Megawatts.

The Lightwave San Diego collocation facility is located in the heart of the internet backbones in San Diego. The area is saturated with all fiber providers that are located in San Diego.

This San Diego collocation facility is connected to the AIS network via redundant OC192s from two different vendors with diverse entry. Diverse fiber pathways accommodating Sonnet rings are provided by from the listed carriers. We operate a true carrier/optically neutral San Diego collocation facility with large (1500 sq. ft) Meet Me Room and fiber POP.

Many San Diego collocation companies these days claim to have the largest state of the art facilities but it is AIS that has the largest San Diego data center. When our San Diego collocation facility was built by General Dynamics, no expense was spared. 45 million in today's dollars was spent to build this 80,000 square foot San Diego data center. An additional 3 million has been invested in network infrastructure and upgrades. This San Diego collocation facility not only looks impressive but also has an uptime track record second to none.
