This redundant optical network reaches from San Diego and Los Angeles in Southern California to Las Vegas in Southern Nevada to Phoenix in Central Arizona.

Every AIS data center is designed to be fully autonomous and able to operate independently — but in the event of an external failure the AIS network has built-in self-healing (<5ms!) recovery mechanisms.

AIS operates a private Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) backbone built on top of our redundant optical network. The AIS MPLS backbone provides low-latency, highly redundant Layer 3 VPN service between each facility.

Clients use MPLS pseudowires for Layer 3 VPN connectivity between their locations in our data centers for Disaster Recovery applications or for their own long-haul transport service.

Our Metro Ethernet / MPLS carriers include AT&T, Comcast, Cox, Level3, Savvis, Sprint, Verizon, and XO.

Speed range from 3Mbps to 1Gbps, providing fast and secure access between sites or to the Internet.

AIS has more than 70 Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) peering and backbone connections spread across multiple facilities providing more than 40Gbps of direct, high-performance Internet service connectivity.
